Canadians are prepared to exact their own personal retaliation due to the cross-border trade war started by the U.S. President, by curtailing travel to the U.S. and boycotting American retailers or brands.

According to a new poll conducted for The Globe and Mail (paywall), nearly three-quarters of Canadians say they are likely, or somewhat likely, to stop travelling to the U.S. And over 70% of Canadians surveyed say they are likely, or somewhat likely, to boycott U.S.-made goods, and nearly the same percentage also say they are likely or somewhat likely to stop shopping at U.S. retailers in Canada.
