The pessimist complains about the wind;
the optimist expects it to change;
the realist adjusts the sails.
~ William Arthur Ward

We cannot control the wind. We can make electric power. We can make water. But have no control over the wind.

And even as we adjust our sails to the wind so we can go were we want to go, we cannot always get there. If the wind, for example, is coming directly from where we want to go, we can’t go there. At least not directly.

So we need to adjust our plans. Perhaps choose a different goal. Or we need to be patient and wait for the wind to change direction. Only then will we be able to achieve our goal.
